SUBMISSIONS FOR THE
GUIDE 2012 ARE NOW CLOSED!
Important Note - Please
Be Sure To Read First!
To those of you
who have received a 2012 Guide Package in the mail, please take
note of the following correction:
On your application page, the Which Ad? section does
not match the correct listing options that are available on the
Ad Price and Size List. Option C's correct price should
read $120, for a basic ad with a vertical or horizontal image.
Therefore on your application: C should have become D, D become
E...etc.
How to ensure you get the Ad you want:
- Please refer to the Ad Price and Size List for the correct list
of options.
- Please write in the white space of the application form if you
are interested in Option
C: basic image with vertical or horizontal image.
- The online version of the Guide Application Form has this typo
corrected, so you may
print a new copy and send it or simply apply online to
ensure you get the correct ad.
- If you still have concerns, please contact
Craig at the
NSCCD or Janet
Doble, Guide
Coordinator
for further clarification.

Director's Message
Dear Advertiser:
Annually the NS Centre for Craft and Design produces the
Guide to Craft and Art as an affordable and effective marketing
tool for you. Our goal is to retain high quality, accurate
content in this free publication which encourages travelers to
explore the wealth of craft and art that surrounds us. To
improve the guide's value to you and its readers, last year we
incorporated a number of new ideas that we plan on keeping:
- advertising options including highlighting and special
ad rates
- online application form and paypal payment
- GPS coordinates
- icons identifying demonstrations, NSDCC Juried Members
and Master Artisans
In 2011, we increased distribution to over 80 major hotels,
B&B's and resorts. Feedback collected from previous
advertisers was an overwhelmingly positive "return on
investment". And as far as advertising costs go, this
guide remains a sweet deal!!
We invite you to showcase your business, event or
organization. We're proud to promote Nova Scotia's
artisans, artists, their supporters, hosts and businesses.
- Susan Charles, Director
